Blizzard is controlled by Activision. They've stopped being independent since the mid-2000s. I don't think CD Projekt RED is indie because Witcher is a popular title. Minecraft serves as a great example of an indie project. FEZ is another instance.

They're not completely certain, yet they run their own business, independent of major companies such as EA, Activision, Ubisoft, and others. They enjoy complete creative control.

I never claimed Blizzard was indie... I meant if we follow RoyalGamer’s perspective where a company is controlled by another, then their claim about CDPR being indie doesn’t hold up. CDPR belongs to CDP, and Blizzard is part of Activision Blizzard. Neither fits the indie label, that’s my take. RoyalGamer argues CDPR is indie, but it isn’t.
