Watercooler for CPU
Watercooler for CPU
Hello everyone,
I'm not sure if I'm in the right forum for this question, but I couldn't find any "cooler" section and thought you OC-ers would know a lot about cooling systems.
Right now, I have a Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 installed on my CPU. Unfortunately, there isn't enough space to add more RAM. Also, the PC is quite noisy, even though the Dark Base 3 tower is supposed to handle quiet operation.
I was thinking of getting a water cooler for my CPU, but I have no idea what to look for or how to choose one properly.
The tower is large, so size shouldn't be a big problem. The CPU uses an LGA 1151 socket.
Anyone have any advice?
Thanks a lot, everyone.
Some of the corsair closed loop coolers might work, but for most users—especially those not overclocking—the cm hyper 212 is likely more than sufficient.
Hey there,
I’m a bit puzzled. The only Corsaid Hyper I found were RAMs, not coolers. Are you referring to Corsaid Hydro, something like the Corsair Hydro H115i? Where exactly are those components installed—on the back of the PC? Also, I’m unsure if they fit between the GPU and the mainboard ports.
Thanks for your help!
Juerg.nobs asked about the noise level of EVGA fans. He mentioned that Corsair models come with relatively loud fans and inquired about the ease of changing them. He shared his experience using Kraken X62, noting the poor software despite good hardware, and recommended EVGA for better results. He also mentioned using Corsair ML 140 Pro Blue fans and praised be quiet fans, stating it's simple to install fans on a radiator.
I possess a 140mm Be quiet! Silent Wings 3 HighSpeed mounted unit. Do these meet your expectations?
I have a 140mm Be quiet! Silent Wings 3 HighSpeed mounted. Do they look good? Yes, place them on the radiator.
Ah ok, nice. Just one more little question: In the mounting video I watched, he place the radiator on the top of the pc. up there, i only have 2x 120mm fans (because of space issues). In the front I have plenty of space and 2x 140mm ones built in. My guess is that i can build in the radiator in the front just fine, but I want to make sure. That should be fine, right? I dont see a logical difference
