Hello everyone, my rig setup is as follows: motherboard - ASUS X99-DELUXE LGA 2011-v3, RAM - Corsair Vengeance 16GB 2800MHz DDR4, CPU - Intel Core i7-5820k with 12 cores OC'ED to 4.2Ghz, GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 OC. I can manage the bitrate needed for streaming, but quality drops significantly, especially for CS:GO. I'm streaming at 720p / 60FPS / 3500 Bitrate with a 'High' preset, yet it still looks poor compared to other top streamers even with similar settings. Do you have any suggestions? Also, I'm playing in 4:3 stretched resolution. If you know anything, please help me out! I'm getting really frustrated.
I'm using Obs and can manage up to 3500 simultaneously. I have separate lines—one for OBS, one for gaming—so internet issues aren't a problem. This is my final video with OBS: http://www.twitch.tv/martyvily/v/21179704. It's set at 3500Bitrate, 720p, 60fps, Medium Preset. The quality isn't great for me.
You're facing an issue where the stream is resizing the video to fit a different aspect ratio, causing distortion. Switching to 16:9 or 16:10 would improve the quality. What you're doing is compressing a smaller image and stretching it, resulting in a poor, stretched appearance. Your stream works well at MartyG, but I don't understand your point.
