I increased my i5-2500k processor speed to 4.8 Ghz by adjusting the CPU voltage in BIOS. I’m unable to set a fixed voltage because it relies on offsets or auto settings (MSI z77a-g41). During the stress test, my HWInfo shows that when test2 begins in prime95, my Vcore and clock speeds temporarily drop to 1.12 and 3300 MHz for two seconds, then return to 1.312 and 4800 MHz for four seconds. This pattern continues throughout the rest of the test, which has been ongoing for more than an hour.
