I'm planning to install an asus z170a with a cryorig h7 and a 6600k. This is my first build, so when I saw the asus Auto-Tuning software I thought it was a solid option. Is this a dependable method for overclocking my 6600k?

Manual is always preferable as K1114 noted. I’d say Asus stands out for auto OC, though most seem to default to high voltages since the software is quite generic. A good idea would be to test it and observe the BIOS changes, which can guide you in performing OCs manually.

Manual OC is consistently superior and straightforward. Increase the multiplier, determine the vcore, and perform a stress test.
