Exploring new builds and benchmark readings sparked some thoughts. Was the added expense for power management really worth unlocking the Intel CPU? Could using better coolers, premium VRMs, or upgraded motherboards boost performance enough to justify the small gains seen in tests?

It depends on your setup. Some i5 models can offer a solid performance boost without heavy tweaks, while i7 and i9 may face overheating challenges. Ultimately, it’s a personal decision based on your needs.

I'm planning around 11,600 non-K components, mostly for light productivity tasks. For a solid VRM, the MSI B560M Bazuka board would help, and the NH-U14S cooling unit would add value to the setup.

I don't believe I'll ever purchase a K CPU again. The only chance is if I can find it at a lower price then I'll proceed. Keep in mind the stock Intel coolers are not great.

It's mostly a free show. If your cooler can take it, do it.

As I discussed earlier, it isn't completely free because you have to pay for the upgraded cooler board and other components.
