I tried to locate 10980XE for two and a half months, but it wasn’t readily available at a fair price. 7980XE is also hard to find. My plan was to purchase 7740X or 7640X so I could use my PC temporarily. I bought one for £120. I can exchange it later for a voucher worth £93 or cash, which means I’ll lose £60 but will have access to the PC for a short time. Should I stick with my current setup using a quad-core processor and hold off until the Ryzen 4000 arrives? Was this the right choice? Appreciate your help ahead of time.

I mean, if you need a functioning pc i guess you have little choice, but generally speaking downgrading from the 9900K or going for X299 wasnt the brightest idea in my opinion.
