Also experiencing FPS problems and unsure why my basic specs don’t match the expected performance. My setup includes an i5-9600k, HyperX 16GB RAM, GeForce graphics card, and a 3070 monitor. On low settings, I usually get between 50 to 60 FPS, but all drivers are up to date. It’s confusing.

I’m really frustrated, but this setup looks solid—better than my own and I’m seeing higher FPS than you. It’s probably the NVIDIA drivers and the game. Keep an eye on DLSS; once it’s available you’ll be all set.

Today I met my first customer who was upset about this issue. A quick search showed it mostly affects systems with nVidia GPUs and older Intel CPUs. Some users suggested adjusting game priority in Task Manager, which helped me—after setting it to normal, FPS returned to around 110 on a 9700k with 1080p settings. I also tested it on my own rig using a Ryzen 3600X and GTX 1070 at full resolution; it reached about 100 FPS without any changes. It seems the problem isn’t related to nVidia drivers but more about how games manage threads and cores, causing older Intel chips to lag.
