Warzone continues to freeze for brief moments.
Hi
I own a Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 3 equipped with a Core i7 4790, 4x4GB RAM (16GB), HyperX Genesis RAM, and a Gigabyte GTX1080 with MWE 650 Gold Cooler Master power supply.
Previously, playing Warzone on a hard drive was slow, taking long times to load or requiring hours for scans and repairs.
After installing the Kingston 960 GB SSD and moving the game there, loading became faster. However, the game now randomly freezes for a few seconds, freezing the screen completely. Despite this, keys are being registered, and when the game unfreezes, it restarts from a different position based on the keys I press while frozen.
After a freeze, I checked Task Manager: about 12 GB of RAM is in use, but the SSD reached 100% usage during freezing. When the game runs normally, SSD usage drops to around 40%.
This is very frustrating because sometimes the game freezes while I am shooting enemies. Someone can help me resolve this issue?
What version of the Kingston 960 SSD is it? How much storage does it offer? Is it just games, and is the operating system still running on the HDD?
I believe I'm facing the same problem as you, having been working on it for the past three days. I've tried all the possible solutions found online, but nothing has resolved it. Are you seeing the packet loss logo during lag on the left side of your screen? (Those are the three orange rectangles). Also, does your CPU usage stay at 100% when checking Task Manager while the game is running?
didn't mention the packet loss icon, in fact the game completely freezes, CPU activity remains typical, and the SSD usage jumps to 100% while the game is stuck.
I experienced similar freezing issues in Warzone for brief periods. You can adjust a game file setting that is known to resolve this problem. Navigate to C\Documents\Call of Duty Modern Warfare\players and locate the file adv_options there. There, you can modify the VRAM Allocated to the game. The typical solution is to set the value to 0.55 or 0.7. The Renderer worker count reflects the number of logical cores or threads used. Be sure to save the file and change its properties to read-only, which prevents updates from modifying it. It's worth mentioning that Warzone is poorly optimized, so you won't achieve the FPS you expect.
