Hey there! It's been a while since I've been around this forum, but I think you've come to the right spot. You're thinking about replacing your current Intel Core i5 6600 with something better. Right now you're using an MSI B250 MATE motherboard, and performance hasn't quite met your expectations lately. While Intel has been popular, Ryzen seems like a strong contender these days. You're aiming for a CPU that can handle daily tasks like running Minecraft servers, multiple eve accounts, and coding with VS Code, plus occasional Docker workloads. You want something reliable for several years. The Ryzen 3800X looks like a solid upgrade option. New CPUs are always coming out, so it's worth checking the latest releases before deciding whether to wait or act now. Intel remains a good choice if you prefer their ecosystem, but Ryzen offers better performance for your workload. Let me know what you think!
