In general, one main distribution works well as well as others—it mainly depends on what you like. For someone new, any Ubuntu, Mint, or Elementary will suffice. I suggest Ubuntu Mate, but choose whatever catches your eye. Most desktop environments include a nice dark theme by default. Regarding compatibility, the music player should work with Wine, though DBDD doesn’t. You can still manage it using KVM and GPU passthrough, but it requires some effort and needs two GPUs on your system.

They probably don’t care about your privacy either.

I haven't read Tor's privacy policy more than once.

Tor privacy policy hahahahahaha. Tor servers run independently, not by any specific company. I can configure a relay server myself using my own machine. I don’t have access to relay data or know the source IP of my traffic. It’s not a paid VPN service. Learn a bit more about this, okay? Tor has helped whistleblowers resist governments like China, which controls all major internet providers and can monitor your computer data freely. Using Tor is unnecessary just to protect against commercial companies mining personal information.

The reason I wouldn’t rely on it is unclear. It doesn’t indicate anyone is seeking information, and it might be even more problematic than what big companies like Microsoft do.

To break into Tor, you need more than just taking over a portion of their relay servers—this is unattainable given the global volunteer effort behind it. You also have to manage their encryption systems. Good luck with that. Tor has been utilized by both criminals and political activists. They wouldn’t rely on it if they knew their identities could be exposed to authorities.

Firearms are involved in crimes like murder and robbery, which are against the law. Wouldn't it be better to focus on banning guns and restricting retailers instead of launching a crusade? Tor offers strong anonymity and user privacy. I don’t understand your concern.

It’s because of how different groups are involved and their motives. Those who produce firearms aren’t the same people using them, and they create it for purposes beyond committing murder. I don’t have any concerns about Tor itself; I just dislike its current misuse. It’s essentially the same as those who make weapons but use it to conceal illegal activities. Really puzzling—I don’t own firearms or rely on Tor.

Hey, please acknowledge the double standard and inconsistency in what you just mentioned. Otherwise, maybe you’re not familiar with how Tor is used by law enforcement, military forces, journalists, and whistleblowers such as Edward Snowden? Also, it seems you don’t understand what Tor actually represents and how it functions.
