Want assistance with underclocking using Trixx?
Hey guys,
I just brought my dead GPU back to life (Sapphire HD6850 1GB). I used a hot hair dryer, and it worked for 10 minutes before showing a red screen and shutting down again—no image after boot.
Then I put the card near a heater for 8 minutes, and it functioned again. It ran smoothly for an hour of Street Fighter 4 at 1080p while the GPU core was downclocked by 20% and the fan set to 70% using AMD's overdrive tool.
I installed Trixx and adjusted the settings: clock to 580 (factory 775) and memory to 850 (factory 1000) to improve stability and reduce load.
Are these settings okay? I left the VDDC at 1149—could that cause any issues?
