Seeking a strong router featuring a WAN port to connect the modem. Needs: devices with issues checked, bandwidth control per device, simple port forwarding, solid streaming capability (upload 4K), Wi-Fi 6 support if possible, fast speeds for file transfers, wide coverage for a big home, enough range for over 30 devices via Wi-Fi plus 3 direct LAN connections. Noted some good options but prices around AUD 550 are high. Curious if cheaper alternatives exist and whether the AC5300 sometimes misses attached devices. Linksys WRT1900ACS Dual Band Wireless AC1900 Smart Router – NBN Ready, ASUS RT-AC5300 Wireless-AC5300 Tri-Band GbE Router – NBN Ready with AiMesh support.
