In short, unless you require ECC or additional connectivity, W480 isn't worthwhile. It also doesn't allow overclocking and will be constrained by memory speed due to ECC.
That takes it off my list. No overclocking—no need for MB for me. I’m getting a unlocked version of the 10th gen i7 or i9, and an MB that doesn’t support OC won’t be useful.
They're primarily designed for Xeons, which explains why there aren't many customization choices available.
