W11 largely rejecting the installation process.
Hi, I built my first PC and was trying to install Windows. It’s been stuck at 62% for six hours. Can anyone help get it to finish? My machine is a cheap 1200 dollar setup, and I’ve noticed the fans get extremely loud once it hits around 42% during installation. Windows just won’t install properly. I’m not sure if the SSD is faulty or something else.
We begin with the available options. Did you utilize a media creation tool, or are we initiating from the ground up? Also, do you have access to a working Windows PC?
Have you thought about using the Linux side? Humor aside, what’s the main problem? The Windows installer might not be able to detect your NVMe/disk. Check the manufacturer’s product support page for disk drivers. @StartingPCBuiilder, try rebuilding your USB with Rufus again—likely the issue lies with the media creation tool.
If I understood the core problem, there would be no need for a post.
