Intel and Microsoft collaborated to resolve a power consumption issue affecting Intel HD graphics users, limiting the impact to around a 10% reduction in battery usage. Those experiencing similar problems with Intel HD still report better performance—up to 40% longer battery life compared to Windows 7—making the device significantly more practical.

You don’t experience the same problem. It might be due to apps that stay active and use up battery life. For instance, having Cortana ready for "Hey, Cortana" can drain your power consistently.
