Hi everyone - I've been checking LevelOneTech's videos and forum discussions about Linux game support using Lutris, Proton, DXVK, and Vulkan. They link to Wikipedia entries for supported Nvidia and AMD GPUs under the main Vulkan API article. My GPU is an RX 470, but after reviewing compatibility charts, Intel's Westmere X58 processors don't support Vulkan. I'd need an Ivy Bridge or newer system to run Vulkan 1.0. Neither GitHub nor L1T mentions CPU compatibility for this.

L1T notes: "With Lutris and Ubuntu 18.04, you won’t have to handle it yourself. Dependencies are pre-installed except for the core Vulkan libraries."

Step 1: Set up Lutris on your gaming PC (optional, ensure Vulkan is installed).
Step 2: Search the Lutris site for your game.
Step 3: Execute the install script. Do I need Vulkan installed for this? I’d prefer not to replace most of my hardware.

Edit: It seems the issue might be with Intel’s iGPUs not supporting Vulkan.

Yes... they lack a GPU. This list applies only to the IGPU; using an RX480 on an X58 and Vulkan works well. Any contemporary CPU should be fine too.
