Precision boost overdrive raises performance further (overclocking isn't very effective) and prevents VRM throttling from dropping below base speeds. Switch to higher core CPUs for better results. Running an 8-core CPU on the cheapest B450 or A320 boards won't work.
Enhance the reliable power delivery system. Useful features include a bios flashback button, extra IO, and avoiding overclocking. Even without oscillation support, the VRMs still get hot. Pairing a 3950x with an A320 board doesn’t support overclocking, but the VRMs will still warm up significantly.
