I've been checking out motherboards and noticed some lacked VRM heatsinks. These tend to be the more affordable options. Is it fine without them? The impact is worth considering. Here are the links to the boards you mentioned:

It relies on the amount of power your CPU uses, whether you're pushing it to overclock, and how well your system cools overall. For instance, a 12100F typically draws less power, so its VRMs should handle cooling from the fans easily.

It's fine; that's why it's designed that way. The intended purpose for such an inexpensive board is exactly what they intended it for.

Heatsink isn't necessary when the VRM manages the temperature. A superior motherboard is often chosen based on the performance of its VRMs. I'm uncertain whether any budget VRM boards come with heat sinks; others might be able to address this.

Two decades in PC construction have shown me that inexpensive motherboards lead to budget builds. When a part adds value beyond $75 over time, it’s worth the investment—VRM and MOSFET act like the vital arteries channeling power from the board to the CPU and RAM. A cheap board equals weak arteries. Walking around the city is fine; trekking through rugged terrain demands a stronger setup. You understand your usage better than anyone else, so I stick with premium motherboards (like Asus Strix) for reliability and longevity.
