This slight angle isn't a problem, it's just how it looks.

When referring to a slight angle of a few degrees, it falls within acceptable manufacturing limits. For the final VRM in the series, these angles are often deliberately adjusted to align with the traces. A visual example would greatly assist in understanding.

If it functions, then proceed. If not, accept it.

Warranties remain valid even after the item is removed from packaging. They apply once the product is tested to confirm functionality. Give it a try.

The JPG file shows something other than a VRM—it appears to be a choke. It seems potentially functional, though it could be within acceptable limits. Whether it works depends on testing. If you bought it and it was clearly faulty, you won’t forfeit your warranty. You might still qualify for a simple store return or exchange, provided the item hasn’t been stored for over a month.

I’m starting from scratch with no power source or CPU, so I’m purchasing everything at once.

Alright, feel free to let me know if you want to stick with it or try something else. It’s simple enough.

I believe I won't be returning it, since the manufacturers site shows the chokes aren't all straight.
