You're looking to run a program but aren't sure if your PC will handle it smoothly. It seems like the system specs are decent, but you're getting mixed results from different tools. Let me know if you need advice on checking compatibility or optimizing performance. Thanks!
You're using your Valve Index with an i7-9700K and 2070 graphics card, experiencing mostly smooth performance with minor issues only in some titles. While most games should run well at low to medium settings, the 4GB VRAM might be a bit tight for certain experiences.
Rift S is a solid entry-level VR experience. It’s not top-notch, but it works fine. When checking out used headsets, pay attention to lens scratches or controller cracks—these usually don’t cause major issues beyond minor breakage risks. At 200 euros, it’s a reasonable price and shouldn’t have any damage on the lenses or controllers. I previously owned a Quest with a broken link before getting my Index. The connection problems, OLED blur, and low refresh rate were really frustrating. My left controller had two small cracks and the right one was fully damaged. Luckily, the left one was replaced because of thumbstick drift, while the right one was fixed by the seller. Off-topic, but here’s a quick take: the Quest 1 cost about 400 euros, the link was 90 euros, and I sold it for 200 euros.
Check out the Quest 2, which connects to your PC for VR gaming and SteamVR experiences. It functions as a standalone device with its own processor and storage. You can play games wirelessly using the Virtual Desktop app if you have a 5G Wi-Fi connection or via WiFi Direct. Prices begin at $299, and it comes with all necessary components except the cable. You can purchase it on Amazon for around $15 to $20.
