Hi, your IP address might still be recorded, but using a VPN could make tracing much harder. The accuracy would likely decrease since the VPN masks your real location. If you check the current IP, it probably won’t match your actual position. With a VPN active, the connection would be more private, potentially improving accuracy.

IP addresses are recorded in multiple databases by their owners. This information should never show your real location, as your ISP has no obligation to share it publicly and changing it each time a customer gets a new IP would be unnecessary. Your precise location can only be revealed if someone gains unauthorized access to your computer or tricks you into using a site that tracks your position via the browser’s Location API, checking nearby Wi-Fi networks and cross-referencing them with a database.
