I was curious about the voltage specifications for Ryzen CPUs, especially if you need to adjust them manually for optimal performance. There were worries about the voltage levels being too high and causing damage, but that wasn't the case with my ABBA BIOS. I'm looking into the voltage settings for my B450 Tomahawk.

Right now it's running at 3800x, but I plan to upgrade to 3900x or even 3950 later. I wanted to verify the voltage requirements since I think I damaged a 3700x by using BIOS settings that didn’t match the correct or adjusted voltages for the CPU. It was a standard BIOS configuration, but at that time I wasn’t using the ABBA version and was working with a Gigabyte board for the 3700x.

Ryzen 3rd gen can boost up to 1.5v for a brief performance increase and then reduce voltage based on load needs. You might see temp drop by lowering the voltage to .95 but could notice slower performance.

Only if you're using manual control. If you just need to reduce the voltage and temperature, I suggest setting the offset voltage to -0.05 to achieve 1.45V. Avoid -0.10 as it will cause significant performance loss.

It's a good question. With older Ryzen CPUs from the 2000 series, voltages were typically lower than modern models. For stock performance, a voltage around 1.4 or 1.35 would likely be appropriate.

Ryzen 3000, also known as Zen 2, has a completely different architecture compared to Zen 1. It also functions differently from Zen 1.
