Hello everyone, I'm feeling a bit worried about the voltage your CPU uses during stress tests. Many people have shared their experiences online, especially about how Zen2 chips manage their own voltage. I haven't changed anything in the BIOS or RAM settings—it's all set to auto/default. My system runs a Ryzen 5 3600 with Scythe Mugen5 rev.B, using MSI B450 Tomahawk with up to 16 GB DDR4 3200 MHz. Voltage specs are: idle 0.4 - 0.9 V, gaming 1.1 - 1.4 V, and AIDA64 & Cinebench r20 at 1.36 V. I've also noticed up to 1.45 V during short boosts in startup programs. I read a lot on Reddit about Zen2 degradation, which made me nervous. Now I'm concerned that setting a fixed voltage might be affecting performance. But from what I understand, having everything auto should be fine. Should I be okay with these readings?

It's perfectly acceptable. You can notice big improvements in performance and lower temperatures using a manual overclock. For instance, 1.25V at 4.2ghz keeps all cores stable on both of my 3600s. It operates cooler than auto voltages and handles higher clocks better than PBO under single and multi-threaded tasks. If your cooling is solid, you can easily increase voltages and clocks. Depending on the chip, you might hit around 4.4ghz per core. Most people agree to stay below 1.32V for a static OC. But with strong cooling, many load their system with tools like Cinebench or Blender to check voltage limits and see how far they can push the clocks.

I think I just needed someone to explain this so your mind stops chatting. I don’t want to touch anything, but I enjoy the performance and my temps are fine. If I do, I’ll use those numbers as a starting point thanks.
