Recently I'm seeing odd voltage readings and feeling a bit concerned... My system has a 10600k and I'm checking OC stability across various voltages. Currently I'm using a 50MΩ resistor, measuring around 1.330V to see if I can achieve stable 5GHz operation. VTD is off, enhanced multi-core is disabled, and LLC is active with turbo enabled. On the CPU side, at idle for about 4 seconds on C20 and BOS, I get a voltage reading between 1.34 to 1.40V. That's surprising since people are reporting 10600k or even 10700k at 5GHz and 5.1GHz with similar voltages. It seems like the silicon is behaving differently here. When I lower the mult to 49MΩ and set the voltage to 1.315V, the BIOS shows a reading of 1.332V while LLC remains on turbo. Are these readings higher than what I've seen before? Could it be related to the LLC being active or something else in my system?
Voltages are typical, an assertive LLC aims to maintain voltage near your desired level. However, it may overshoot or fall short during quick changes, which can affect stability. A lower LLC setting might offer better performance by reducing these issues.
Used a medium llc with 49 mults, 1.315 voltage, and CPU shows 1.33 voltage. Hwinfo indicates 1.39.
Checking VID voltages in HWiNFO or Vcore isn't about actual voltage readings—it's the signal the CPU sends to the motherboard. When you manually adjust the Vcore, VID becomes irrelevant, though 1.33V is typical and you won't always match your BIOS setting exactly.
