This appears to be a concern. The original poster clarifies they wouldn’t use a Comet Lake CPU and would instead choose the 11900K, noting its unavailability on PCPP.

The Intel recommended maximum is 1.5v memory. But they don't tell you that you may need roughly 1.2v System Agent voltage (IMC). Maybe the Vccio that high as well. If you're using that ROG in your sig, you will want to manually set those two voltages because the board will severely over volt them. Mine is Maximus X hero, it like's to set Vccio and system agent to like 1.40v. That's crazy high. Would be aiming 4800mhz and definitely a superior cooling solution over a Corsair AIO. This build is entirely new. The motherboard is an MSI MPG Z590 Gaming Carbon WiFi. The processor will be a 11900K, pending availability on Tuesday.

I keep those two voltages disabled automatically and adjust them manually. I’d begin around 1.1 to 1.15V for the VCIO and 1.15V for the system agent. Reduce them if stability is confirmed. If things feel a bit shaky, boost the system agent first.
