Yesterday I was playing Shadow of Mordor and suddenly I had to leave for about half an hour. I stopped the game while it was running. When I returned, there were no dialogues left. I kept playing because I was almost done. Now I started another game, but the dialog is still very quiet and hard to hear. What happened and how can I fix it? Thanks. *Even YouTube is very quiet now*

Have you verified your audio configuration? If your kb/mouse includes volume adjustment, it's possible you accidentally changed it.

Discovered the issue. It was a bit awkward, having a long cable and moving around often. The plug slipped, so I couldn't hear the game dialogue but could still catch the music.

Often it's the small, unnoticed details that stand out the most. Ha! It brings to mind a moment from the 1971 film "Andromeda Strain," where a minuscule piece of paper disrupted the alarm system in a complex machine. Nearly threatening the survival of humanity if the virus had broken containment.
