I set up my virtual machine with two of your four cores, yet the Task Manager only displays one core. Adjusting the virtual cores doesn’t seem to make a difference. The CPU performance appears normal compared to your host PC. I’ve attached screenshots of both task managers for clarity. Also, I’m using VMWare 17 for free—please let me know if that’s relevant. Thank you for your help!

VMWare was set up with just one core initially. It’s possible the adjustment didn’t take effect until later, possibly due to a configuration change or a bug. This seems like the most likely explanation given your setup and experience.

I adjusted the CPU cores and RAM settings to see if that resolves the issue, but RAM updates are working normally while the CPU remains unresponsive. After resetting both the virtual machine and the host, the problem persists.
