I’m preparing to enhance my network to match the visual you shared. Will I be able to extend the existing APs to serve guests in the VLAN alongside LAN users, provided those APs support VLANs?

They must verify whether the switch also handles VLANs and check for SVI creation capabilities, especially if using an L3 device. If not, consider relying on a router with dot1Q support.

As long as the switch and APs support SVI's and dot1q subinterfaces, it is possible to proceed.

The ability to handle SVIs is simpler, but if not, as long as it supports trunking, passing VLAN tags, and the router can manage dot1q sub-interfaces, it works fine.

If your APs include tagging (like UBNT), it’s easy—assign each SSID to a particular VLAN and connect those VLANs directly to the AP.
