I just moved from Ubuntu to Fedora and reinstalled my games. Everything seems to be running better now, except for one game where the display doesn’t match what I expect. Instead of choosing a real monitor, it shows only a virtual display or an X11 standard screen. I’m confused about what I did wrong. P.S. I’m still really new to Wine.

I'm setting up those games through tools such as Lutris or PlayOnLinux. What graphics card are you using, and how many monitors are available?

I'm working with Lutris to set up Wine for Windows, specifically for a game called Waregaming Center. I'm trying to install a launcher but haven't used Lutris yet. My GPU is an RX 580, while others have a GTX 1070 and a Vega 56. I have three monitors—one 27-inch and two 19-inch monitors. The issue isn't the launcher itself; it's that games always launch on the rightmost monitor in my setup. I previously got the in-game option to pick a display, but this time I only see X11 instead of choosing from all monitors. My question is whether the problem lies with drivers or with Wine. I don’t know where to start looking right now.

I can execute it in 'virtual desktop mode,' but that isn't the best choice since my gems are pushed down by the notification bar at the top. How can I send the option to the program running under Wine so it displays correctly? When I tried this on Ubuntu earlier, I could pick my monitor.

Changed it to a windowed view and moved the window to your first screen. Also, make sure your gaming monitor is set as the main display in the settings.

Check the display options and ensure your main screen is marked as primary in the relevant settings menu. It’s usually listed there, not just in the first image.

Running on POP OS 19.04 with no issues so far. Edit: Exclude the semi-dead / unstable Vega 56 card.
