About a week back MWII started showing strange 'grey smoke' during gameplay. Check the video below: Early attempts to fix shooting issues. Updated drivers, rolled back some, reinstalled older versions, updated Windows, then removed and reinstalled everything. All ended up with the same grey overlay on my screen. Important: this only occurs in MWII, not in Warzone, Vanguard or other titles. Drivers tried: 516.94, 517.48, 522.25, 526.47, 526.61, 526.86. Additional observations. I also ran the 1070 FE card through my system—it worked flawlessly with no graphical issues in MWII. On my uncle’s machine (very similar), his 3080 FE performed just fine without any problems. My GPU stayed stable on MWII too. While testing, I tried his 3080 Ti FE and saw no issues either. Notes: Last week my game stopped showing these bugs in MWII, but they reappeared yesterday (11/13/2022). Specs: Ryzen 7 5800X, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 FE, Tuf Gaming B-550 Plus (WiFi), Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 2x16GB @3600Mhz CL18. Edited November 15, 2022 by Jakeb618

I've reached out to Activision support multiple times, but no response has come through. It's been nearly a week since I last tried. I also spoke with NVIDIA support, but their live chat solutions didn't resolve the issue.

The game runs quite poorly on PC, especially with bugs present. This seems to affect MW2 alone or possibly other titles as well. A future update might resolve these issues.
