Your Norton trial is over and you're not protected anymore. You might consider free alternatives or upgrade options.

This antivirus is among the poorest on the market. Try Avast (free) or Malwarebytes.

I’ll present it this way:
- Norton is the overly attached girlfriend, she won’t let anything happen to you, at the expense of asking quite a bit from you. (Testing showed a 30% drop in performance)
- Bullguard is the reliable bulldog, though he has a bad reputation from past encounters. He’s made progress and is definitely worth checking out if you’re willing to pay for his services.
- Average is the dependable friend who’s trustworthy but could betray you anytime.
- Avast is the laid-back local, he’ll look after you, but be prepared for some shortcomings.

I haven’t installed any antivirus software on my personal devices for a long time. The only checks I do are when I’m not sure, and that’s it. Everything else relies on Windows Defender (lol).

When using Norton, you didn’t have protection. You need a solid antivirus paired with a strong firewall and minimal false alarms. Webroot Internet Security Complete, Kaspersky Internet Security, and Outpost Security Suite Pro are excellent choices. Malwarebytes works well too if you don’t mind or prefer not to use a firewall—though it offers a free version. I recommend thinking twice about skipping a firewall, as browsing online has become increasingly risky.
