I'm looking for a new laptop suited for development work. Options with Ryzen offer cost savings that could fund extra RAM, SSD, or Windows 10 Pro. My main requirements are running virtualization with Docker and WSL inside a Windows setup. Do you know if Ryzen supports virtualization to meet these needs like Intel does? And are all Ryzen processors capable of virtualization?

All Ryzen processors are designed to enable virtualization, and activating them in BIOS should be straightforward.

It should work well. I've tested numerous virtual machines on my 3700x with Hyper-V, and usually only a minor setup is required—sometimes enabling virtualization in the BIOS is all that's needed.

It confirms the support. This feature is typically found under the overclocking menu as SVM.

Only similar models like 200GE seem to lack virtualization support, I think. I don’t have the hardware on hand right now to verify, though I’m sure when I tried using virt it didn’t work. Maybe I’m wrong, but it’s worth mentioning. Probably not ideal for your requirements either, but I wanted to share.
