Hi, I'm facing a problem with Windows 11 where using virtualization tools like HyperV or VirtualBox generates a virtual Ethernet network. This causes my internet speed to drop significantly—my actual connection is being replaced by the virtual setup instead of my real 500Mbps down and 150Mbps up speeds. I need this issue fixed so I can test HyperV or VB without losing my normal internet performance.

Your physical network card supports a 1 Gbps connection ("Realtek PCIe GbE Family…). If it's capped at 100 Mbps, it's likely connected to a 100 Mbps port on your router. It shouldn't be related to a virtual machine. A virtual network card won't impact your internet speed. When the VM is inactive or idle, it won't consume bandwidth. If you're downloading within the VM, it will share the host's network resources. However, it won't lower the host's actual connection speed. If your physical link is 100 Mbps, you'll always be restricted to that rate regardless of your ISP plan. The VM's internet performance will also be constrained to 100 Mbps, even if the adapter reports a higher speed (which you can adjust in the VM settings).

Ensure it operates at 1GBPS rather than auto-negotiating.

It's possible to limit the virtual Ethernet speed.

Unfortunately we can't because it has no driver... But I managed to fix it somehow by disabling and enabling the main network, but I'm skeptical if it'll automatically turn back to 100mbps somehow due to internal reasons, I'll you posted
