Usually, RGB wasn't available then, so now most things are managed by the main board or a controller you put in. A controller is probably necessary because even though my wife's PC controls it internally via the board, I still needed one to manage all the RGB features she wanted... Everything else except the GPU is RGB-related and I’ll have to handle that later so it’s done. It’s basically a complete RGB mess, but she really enjoys it.
It was accurate that I had to install the old software for it to function properly, since the standard version didn't work without it.
