Hello! I know your b360 motherboard is in a tough spot—upgrading isn’t an option because it’s built into your PC. Since the board is proprietary and you don’t want to replace it or buy a new case, you’re stuck with what you have. Your i5-8400 should work fine on this board, especially since the BIOS is already updated. I’m worried about the lack of a single heatsink for the VRMs and whether the i9 processor might be too demanding. You’ve already purchased a basic heatsink for the chip, but nothing for the power delivery units. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Was das ursprüngliche System überhaupt eine Version dafür angeboten? Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob diese Plattform einen solchen Support hatte.

those voltages would cause damage, but you might manage to supply enough power via the four-pin connector.

To enhance performance, especially in gaming, an i7-8700 or 9700 is ideal. It also reduces stress on the VRMs and saves money.

It includes an i5-8400, which is the TDP rating. However, from what I read online, power consumption increases significantly once utilization and core usage rise beyond that point. That was my main worry during research. Thank you for your thoughts. The goal here is to save money—this model costs around $250, while the i7-9700 is about $200. If upgrading is necessary, I’m willing to spend an extra $50 for a better processor. I’m just playing it safe and hoping it stays relevant. I already have a 3070 with an i5-8400, so I’m proceeding with the upgrade.

Consider keeping the $50 and opt for the i7 model. It’s not worth it with the extra cores when the CPU is throttling power.
