Video Ram DDR4 3000mhz
Video Ram DDR4 3000mhz
So I own Corsair Vengeance DDR4 RGB 16gb 3000mhz RAM, but when installed, it runs at 2133mhz instead of the advertised 3000mhz. I have a Z270 M7 motherboard with an i7 7700k and GTX 1080 Ti. Should I stick to 2133mhz or upgrade to 3000mhz? Would it really make a difference? Also, if I manage to reach 3200mhz, would that boost performance even more? And if I overclock to 3200mhz, could the RAM cause issues and degrade its lifespan? I successfully got it stable at 3200mhz in BF1.
I don't notice anything about Video RAM—it's on your GPU, using VDDR5, and it doesn't relate to the rest of your system. A faster system RAM can improve performance, though it may have limited impact if it's not fully stable or overclocked.
