Video playback issues are present with recorded footage.
Hello everyone! I’ve been attempting to create video recordings of my CS:GO gameplay utilizing OBS, and the recording process itself functions without any difficulties. However, when I subsequently review the recorded footage, it appears noticeably sluggish and distorted in terms of color.
System Specifications:
Processor: i7 7700K running at 5.0 GHz (Delidded)
Graphics Card: GTX 1080 Ti Trio
Memory: 16GB at 3000MHz
Cooling is not a concern.
[EDIT]: Please see the example below to illustrate this issue—the right side represents what I observe, while the left displays how the footage actually looks.

Considering a title such as CSGO and a strong graphics card like the 1080 Ti, it’s likely you're employing NVENC within OBS for capturing gameplay.
Proper configuration of your recording settings using NVENC is quite important.
This guide will walk you through the process.
Regarding key frames and performance issues during file editing, this doesn’t appear to be the user's intended concern.
If you experience jerky playback in video players, it’s necessary to set the encoder's priority to “realtime” so Windows prioritizes this process. You can accomplish this using Task Manager or a utility like Process Explorer to preserve these settings, eliminating the need for manual adjustments each time.
If the source you’re filming from is a standard hard drive and not specifically designed for video, delays may occur. This can also be an issue with SSDs if they’re being used concurrently with a game, as the available data transfer speed is divided. Optimizing your recording configurations is crucial – getting these settings correct is approximately 90% of the solution. Furthermore, assigning specific processor cores or threads to both the game and recording software will prevent resource conflicts and improve performance. Following the advice of this individual, I plan to fine-tune my OBS software. A great many thanks to him.
The video created from the recording is choppy, and the colors are absent despite OBS settings being configured for optimal quality.
This might resolve the delay problem, yet there remains the matter of the color discrepancy.
