Earlier this year I switched from an RTX 3070 to an RTX 5070. Shortly after, my video output would become sluggish—often stuck at just 2 frames per second—when I powered on or woke up from sleep. Restarting seemed to help initially, but sometimes it required a second restart for the issue to resolve. Connecting the display cable to my motherboard (which has a Ryzen 5 7600X) either fixed the problem or caused it to worsen. After a week without issues, the problem would reappear suddenly, sometimes multiple times in a single day. Before this upgrade I had no problems, but now it seems the situation is affecting both my graphics and keyboard lighting effects. I’ve tried various fixes like using an HDMI cable, reseating components, updating drivers, and more.

Did you install the software in safe mode using DDU to fully eliminate the previous drivers? Also, what type of power supply do you have, and does it meet the requirements for the 5070 model?

Start in safe mode, install and execute DDU, restart to Windows, then reinstall the drivers—it could resolve the problem.

I didn't know about DDU until recently. I'll attempt it soon. Thanks! I also have an 850-watt gold-rated power supply from Corsair.
