The latest YouTube adjustments are quite appealing... we required a significant enhancement.
it seems 60fps became feasible by adjusting playback rate. for gaming you record at full speed, render at half, upload and replay at double speed. with the built-in feature it’s now easier. what excites me is the chance to replay at 120fps using the same approach—record at half, capture at 60fps, upload and play back at double speed.
It could be really tough to capture footage at that high frame rate, right?
You're encountering a limitation with current software options. While you have a 120Hz monitor and already streamed at 120fps, tools like Fraps, Playclaw 5, Dxtory, and Shadowplay restrict recording speeds to around 60fps. OBS might be the only viable alternative for achieving higher frame rates.
He has a setup that captures footage at 120fps, and I think Fraps can handle it too. People often mention the huge file sizes generated by 120fps recordings in Fraps, which can be quite large. Dxtory also claims to support this feature.
