Hello, I recently assembled my PC yesterday. It features an R7 7700X Gigabyte Gaming OC 4070S with a B650 Eagle Corsair Vengeance DDR5 5200MHz 32GB, Be Quiet! Pure Power 12 850W H150 cooler. On startup, I didn’t notice anything unusual, but once it was on my desk it became obvious. I couldn’t post videos because they were too large, so I took two pictures instead. When I turned it on, the CPU light lit up for about 0.2 seconds, then the DRAM light appeared briefly, followed by a permanent VGA light—no video displayed afterward.

I’ve tried following instructions found online: reseating connections, disconnecting/reconnecting, using different RAM sticks (2/4 and 1/3), swapping GPUs (including an old Zotac Twin Edge 3060), removing the GPU, changing the PCIe slot, using different cables (DP and HDMI). When I connected the HDMI to the CPU, a message appeared on the screen but still showed the VGA light.

Some users suggested pressing Y to reset the system, especially if Windows was unavailable, or if there were issues with BitLocker/encryption. Others mentioned it might be related to the SSD. After uninstalling, the problem persisted. I’m planning to try resetting the CPU by resocketting it with a friend and hoping for success. Good luck!

I had my friend and I remove the pump, took the CPU out, checked for damage, put it back in, screwed the pump back on, and turned it on again. The issue still exists.

Sorry to hear about your issue! Here are some suggestions:
1. Update your bios to the latest non-beta release
2. Use a different PCIe cable for your GPU (if your PSU supports multiple), and confirm it's a PCIe cable, not an 8-pin CPU cable
3. Place the GPU in a different or lower slot
4. Manually set the PCIe version for the GPU slot instead of letting BIOS auto-select

Hey, thanks for you Response and i will try those things tomorrow (because it is 0:30). And to quickly answer to this, Option 1. I will try this tomorrow Option 2. My PSU doesn’t have any others ones, and the 8-Pin connector was for the “OLD” GPU (with Old i mean from my OLD PC because i wanted to see if the LED would dissappear). For this one i need a 12-Pin wich is Connected and is the only one i Have, on it is written “600W” if it helps. Option 3. I will also try that Tomorrow, with every PCiE slot, because i only tried on 2 of 4 and Option 4. I Don’t Know if i understand Correctly but, i Have no Video (Black Screen) so it doesn’t Boot to BIOS. it just does Nothing, LED’s are on but the PC doesn’t Boot so i can’t Change anything in the BIOS.

For those facing similar issues, examine your GPU’s case and remove the adapter inside. The main issue was insufficient power delivery—lights were on but fans weren’t. After following troubleshooting steps with a friend’s advice to replace the CMOS battery, the problem persisted with a VGA error even after adjusting the connector slightly. Moving the 16-pin connector properly resolved it, confirming the original adapter wasn’t functioning correctly. Eventually, switching to the correct 2x8 to 16-pin adapter from the graphics card solved the problem completely.

Great job getting it resolved! Just wish it didn’t turn into one of those messy connector issues... You probably learned a lot from troubleshooting, which will be useful when helping others or yourself later. Thanks for following up on this update! Have fun with your PC!

Hello, I'm facing the exact same problem. The PC starts normally when I launch a game within 10 minutes after the black screen appears, but the VGA display shows a red LED. Some Reddit users mentioned issues with the motherboard card. Does anyone know if they can help?
