Hey everyone, I just switched to a used 3080ti from a 1080ti. Since installing it, I've faced some hiccups with inconsistent errors that cause the VGA light to flash on startup. Until now, I've managed to boot by pressing the power button and retrying, usually succeeding on the third or fourth attempt. Recently, a dead video card triggered VGA issues again, which makes sense given how the 1080ti performs well. Has anyone experienced similar problems? It's odd that it sometimes fixes itself. Here are my specs: CPU R72700, non-X MB, ASUS TUF X570-Pro, WiFi RAM, EVGA 3080ti, boot drive is an Intel SSDPEKNW010T8.

Have you checked for BIOS updates? There were some BIOS versions for the X570 that didn’t work properly with the 30 series cards at launch, or caused strange and inconsistent problems. This would be the initial step I’d take.

the bios comes from early 2025, but I’m not sure it’s the main reason. there’s a newer update that “enhances system stability,” though I prefer not to change it right now to avoid errors during restarts and potential damage to the device.
