Hello everyone, I'm here discussing an unusual problem that started after updating my BIOS. It's been a couple of weeks, but I've been experiencing strange issues with Roblox—sudden crashes without any error messages. After researching, I discovered my BIOS was two years outdated, which led me to believe it needed an update.

Following the guidance, I performed the update. However, my PC didn't boot properly at first. I checked the motherboard and confirmed the VGA lights were on. I tried disconnecting the display port from the GPU to connect it directly to the motherboard. This action triggered a message about FPTM Firmware, instructing me to press either N or Y.

I initially pressed N, which brought me back to the BIOS menu. After rebooting, the same prompt reappeared. I repeated the process, pressing N twice before finally accessing Windows. Once I rebooted again, the message vanished, and the boot error disappeared.

However, the VGA light only lit up when my Display Port was connected to the GPU during startup. If I disconnected it and only used the HDMI cable, the PC booted normally without any lights. I can reinstall the GPU afterward, but if I restart with it plugged in, the VGA light comes back on.

Here are the details of my setup: Motherboard – ROG STRIX B550-F (WiFi); Graphics Card – GTX 1070; CPU – Ryzen 5 3600X; RAM – 32 GB (2x16) at 3600MHZ (set to 2155 due to motherboard limitations). Components came from Corsair.

What I attempted:
- Tried reverting to an older BIOS version (3403 → 2423).
- Removed the motherboard battery for 5 minutes and reinserted it.
- Removed the GPU, cleaned the connector, verified all connections, then set BIOS to boot with the optimise option.
- Considered reinstalling the CPU (Asus website suggested), but wanted to explore other fixes first.

Important note: I only changed or removed something in the PC before the BIOS update. Today was the only modification—just unplugging the GPU to clean it up.

Another observation: After some time, both displays eventually worked, though it took longer and I lost access to the BIOS when the Display Port was active. The HDMI port didn’t trigger any lights.
