No, I didn't make any changes. Your request was simply to confirm whether modifications were applied.
I've been facing the same issue for about three to four weeks now. It matches OP's symptoms but is happening more often. I installed a new router from my ISP and a fresh network adapter (TP-Link Archer T9UH). Recent CAT6 wiring in my home also seems unlikely. The new router helped a bit, though it didn't fix the problem completely. After contacting support for the game I'm playing, they recommended clearing DNS, resetting the IP, and using Google's public DNS. This significantly improved things, even though I still get occasional ping spikes and brief connection drops (without disconnecting). It's much less frequent now. Feel free to check if this helps anyone.
I understand this might seem silly, but all I needed to do was adjust the router's placement. Before that, it didn’t work, so I wasn’t sure it was the problem. Odd.
