Very basic OC of cpu?
Very basic OC of cpu?
any overclock should ideally be handled through the bios. enter the bios and raise your cpu multiplier by a few steps, repeating this until the system starts acting unstable. then lower it back until it stabilizes. this is the highest possible overclock without adjusting voltages, after which you’ll need to increase the multiplier and voltage to begin. remember, you shouldn’t push too high with the stock cooler—on a setup like this i’d use occt to stress test the o.c.
Watch this video to understand how to check the current CPU speed. You can also find it in your BIOS or through a program.
Here is a video demonstrating:

To determine the current CPU speed, you can check your BIOS or look for a program that displays it. This method doesn't include instructions on overclocking, only benchmarking.

any overclock should be performed in the bios. enter the bios and raise your cpu multiplier by a few steps. repeat this until the system starts to behave erratically. then lower it back until it settles. this is the highest overclock you can achieve without adjusting voltages, after which you need to increase the multiplier and voltage to begin. remember, you shouldn’t push too high with the stock cooler. on a setup like this i would use occt to stress test the cooler. so i go into bios, gradually increase core frequency by 200 mhz at a time, stress test, if stable add more until unstable, then when unstable add more voltage? how much should you raise for each 200 mhz?
