There are many screenshots of 4500+ Gear 1, but I haven’t seen anyone using a 24/7 stable version. The 10th gen IMC is definitely the best DDR4 IMC they’ve created, and it seems to be the top choice overall since it avoids the problems seen in DDR5 from the 12th, 13th, and 14th generations. That makes sense. If you’re purchasing it at a discounted price, go for it. Just keep in mind you might need to lower the memory speed slightly during installation, though not much, and because it’s dual-rank, there will still be a performance edge even at the slower speed.
talk about Cessane IMCs, they can handle rams up to around 5000 while keeping the clock at 1:1 frequency and using reasonable voltages—about 1.35 to 1.4 volts versus saturation. I think you might have seen a shot of 4500 just for testing frequency, or maybe they bench it at 4000 to save power. Probably aim for 4200-4400, since the IMC is sensitive to heat. A ram fan is usually better, but it’s essential if you’re pushing past 1.5 volts, especially at those high frequencies.
igpu tutorials reach up to 1.45v under the APUscale with VSOC, but CPUs don’t match that performance. The low VSOC limits overclocking on the IGPU, making it a bit silly to push it beyond 2400-2500 unless you’re willing to adjust things.
