Hello, I'm trying to understand why Amazon lists two versions of Windows 7 Professional at different prices. One is over $130 and the other around $90. They seem similar but aren't labeled as refurbished, and both come from Microsoft. What sets them apart? I'd rather save money on the operating system than pay an extra $40. I've shared links to both. Thanks.

The $92 isn't available from me, my Microsoft store is actually closed. The $130 version is offered on Amazon.

I’d like to purchase it from Microsoft. I understand the potential savings, yet... do you have any insights on this? Are there distinctions between the two options?

The $90 price tag isn't clear—I'm not sure if it's from Amazon or another source. It seems like someone thought a complete version existed, but Microsoft stopped selling the full retail edition of Windows 7. Now you're limited to prebuilt systems from companies like Dell, HP, Lenovo, or Acer. Alternatively, you can purchase the OEM version for $139, which matches what you saw.

The alternative connection lists a $120 cost with a seller having a 67% favorable review. I would choose the more expensive option.

You might consider purchasing Windows 7 at a lower cost because it offers a more affordable entry point compared to Windows 10, which is priced higher.
