Various alternatives to Corsair H110 fans are available.
I'm seeking more affordable and quieter fans to swap in for those on my H110 cooler, but I don't want to spend a lot. I have an unused Phanteks PH-F140SP fan, but only one is available. Another is quite expensive, and I think a Noctua model would be a better choice. Is it okay if I use two different fans on the radiator, or should I stick to one type? Thanks for your time.
The PH-F140SP would work if you require 140mm, but the one linked is 120mm, making it the wrong size. It's better to have matching fans for optimal performance, though using two different ones won't cause issues. Thanks for your prompt response. Would this fan be suitable?
The Phanteks match the expectations of Noctua enthusiasts, offering solid performance and build quality. The main variation lies in color options—Noctua tends to be more brown unless you opt for the Redux lineup (black/gray or industrial), which is black. I’d recommend another model from the ph-f140sp series.
Edit: Yes, the NF-P14 would suit Noctua well. Powering the fans isn’t certain, but they do have a 3-pin pump mount on the h110.

mcnumpty23 suggested using PH-F140SP for 140mm, as the linked one is 120mm and the PH-F140SP is 140mm. One would be the wrong size. It’s better to have similar fans, but using two different ones won’t cause issues. Thanks for your prompt reply. Would this fan work?

Yes, that should be suitable—first grey noctua fan looks better than usual color, though not much difference. But if you’re okay with the color or don’t care about it, it’s fine.
Mcnumpty23 asked PH-F140SP would work if you require 140mm, but the one linked is 120mm making it mismatched. It’s better to use similar fans, though using two different ones won’t cause issues. Thanks for the prompt reply. Would this configuration (one PH-F140SP and one Noctua NF-P14) perform better and be quieter than the original fans on the H110?
Sparkz101 shared feedback on fan compatibility. mcnumpty23 suggested using the PH-F140SP if 140mm is required, noting the linked model is 120mm and the PH-F140SP is 140mm, implying a mismatch. They recommended matching fans but acknowledged it wouldn’t cause issues with two different models. A link was provided for reference.
Yes, that would work—first a grey noctua fan I’ve seen looks better, though not significantly different in color. If you’re okay with the color or don’t care about it, it’s fine.
Regarding the setup of one Phantom 140SP and one Noctua NF-P14, it could be quieter and perform better than the stock fans on the H110. I’d think so; last time I used a Corsair H80, the fans were poor, but newer models might have improved them. Still, a noctua and a phantom 140 would likely be better.

The Phanteks match the Noctua fans in terms of performance and build quality. The main difference is that Noctua models tend to be brown unless you upgrade to Redux, which comes in black/gray or industrial colors, or black. I’d prefer another ph-f140sp.
Edit: yes, the NF-P14 would suit Noctua well. Uncertain about fan powering, but aren’t they pump-mounted 3 pins on the h110? It seems they’re pump-mounted 4 pins with a 3-pin connection from the pump to the fan header on the motherboard for the sensor.
