Hi, your laptop seems to be stressing the fans even when nothing is being done. The CPU usage shows idle times but core speeds jump dramatically, and temperatures reach 65–70°C with peaks up to 87°C. The video attached clearly displays these changes. It’s likely normal during active tasks, but you’re right to notice it shouldn’t happen in idle mode. Consider checking for dust buildup, ensuring proper ventilation, or adjusting fan settings if possible. Let me know if you need more help!

Did you attempt to detect any viruses or harmful files? Odd CPU usage might indicate a malware presence taking up resources. Please share more information using Performance Monitor and verify if anything stands out. Try booting in safe mode and observe the behavior there as well. Edited February 22, 2023 by WackySpace

It might be Windows handling background operations like logging, indexing, updating, memory management, and optimizing performance. To observe what’s happening, you can install the Sysinternal suite (available via the MS Store or website), which is free and about 100MB. It includes two tools—Process Explorer and Process Monitor—that display real-time system activity. Apply filters to monitor specific tasks such as disk read/write operations or Registry access to identify idle time usage. Many helpful tutorials exist on tech forums like tenforums and elevenforums.

Thank you for the advice. Since you have SysInternal Suite installed, I'll look for any unusual activity.
