Hello everyone, I'm from Europe and noticed something unusual about pricing differences. In the US, FIFA 15 costs $59.99, while in Europe it's €59.99, which translates to about $14 more. This seems unfair and unprofessional, as it applies not just to FIFA 15 but to other games in the store too. I believe this needs attention from EA. Regardless of their profits from games, fairness and equal shopping opportunities are important to me. I hope this issue gets resolved.

It seems like someone is expressing frustration about a situation where a company has too much freedom. It's not the first time this has happened, and others have done the same. The issue is annoying, but there are ways to respond.

It's common for businesses to adjust pricing over time, Valve did this before and after setting keys at 2.5 euros and 2.5 dollars. Changing prices can be influenced by market fluctuations, but it seems unusual for them to maintain the same rate recently.

Numerous individuals face higher costs due to their geographic position, which serves as a simple illustration

I haven't looked this up in a long time, so sorry if my information is outdated, but there is a cap (EDIT: looked it up, it's apparently a soft cap set by manufacturers as the maximum expected demand price) on how much can be charged for video games in the US ($60). There are ways to get around this, like separating out content and selling it as day one DLC (looking at you Farcry 4), but most games (AFAIK) don't do that. Presumably, this is just a company charging what they can, where they can. It should also be mentioned that exchange rates are not indicative of cost of living and pricing is often regional for products.

Creating a US-origin account without restrictions is not possible. Using a VPN may not bypass regional requirements.

I notice these platforms commonly handle this situation. Steam, Origin, GMG, and even GOG provide refund credits or price adjustments over time. It's a long-standing practice rather than a recent change.

You're questioning the price increase and wondering if taxes play a role. It's possible the cost remains relatively low despite the hike. Your doubt seems reasonable, and it's unlikely someone in a top position at EA would ignore this feedback. As long as sales continue, they won't alter the situation.

Thanks for the suggestion, turned on the VPN, refreshed the page and it seems prices have come down to $$. Appreciate your help!
